American astronauts will be able to constantly attend and work on the moon in about 10 years, said the head of the National office for Aeronautics and space USA (NASA) Jim Breidenstein. He added that this will be possible thanks to the space station Gateway, which is now under construction.
“From the station we would like to launch landing devices that would move to the moon and back,” he said in an interview with the channel Hill.tv.
Jim Breidenstein added that if successful, the implementation of these plans will help the United States to send their astronauts to Mars. He said that the work on the moon will help ” to test technology, human psychology, to create opportunities for the use of resources from the moon to survive on its surface.”
