Musk to build the first Tesla plant in Europe

American engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur Elon Musk will build a plant for the production of electric cars Tesla near Berlin. This enterprise will be the first that an overseas company will open in Europe.

As stated by Musk in Germany will be a real “giga plant,” as well as the center of development and design.

“Everyone knows that German engineering is certainly outstanding. This is one of the reasons why we want to build our factory in Germany. We are also going to create an engineering and design center in Berlin. Our choice fell on Berlin because this city is the center of world design,” CNBC quoted Musk as saying at the Golden Steering Wheel awards ceremony.

Musk has repeatedly said over the past few years that he plans to build a Tesla plant in Europe. For the company, it will be the fourth plant after plants in Nevada, New York, and Shanghai. The release of Tesla in Germany will make it easier for the company to sell electric cars in Europe.

Tesla is engaged in the development and production of electric vehicles, as well as modern batteries for the energy supply of housing. It began its work in 2003. One of the founders of Tesla is Elon Musk.
