On Wednesday, July 24, at a hearing in the United States Congress, former special Prosecutor Robert Mueller said that his report did not justify US President Donald Trump and did not prove the absence of “collusion” with Moscow, which allegedly “widely and systematically interfered” in the American elections.
“Our investigation concluded that the Russian government has intervened extensively and systematically in our elections,” Muller said in his first public speech since his appointment as Special Prosecutor.
Thus, Mueller denied his previous statement. We will remind, for two years he investigated the assumptions about “Russian intervention” in the presidential elections in the United States and eventually found no evidence of “collusion” Trump with Moscow.
Earlier Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow will follow the performance of Robert Mueller. The diplomat also commented on the new accusations of the FBI about “interference” in the American elections and stressed that there are no grounds for such allegations.
