More than half of American adults are fully vaccinated against COVID-19

President Biden’s plan calls for 70 percent of adults to receive at least one dose of the vaccine by July 4.

More than half of the U.S. adult population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the White House said.

This happened about six weeks before July 4, when, according to US President Joe Biden’s goals, 70 percent of the adult population should receive at least one dose of the vaccine.

The halfway journey came amid efforts by federal, state, and municipal governments to provide vaccinations to people who have not yet received them, while simultaneously overcoming indecision, fears, and the impact of incorrect information about vaccines. “Now, with another week to go until the end of May, half of all American adults are fully vaccinated,” said Andy Slavitt, a senior White House adviser on COVID – 19.
