More than a hundred million Chinese are under a new quarantine

Due to a new outbreak of coronavirus, more than 108 million Chinese people are in self-isolation. Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

According to the Agency, the authorities have introduced strict quarantine measures in the North-East of the country. In Jilin province, bus and train services were disrupted, schools were closed, and citizens were isolated.

“These strict restrictions alarmed many residents, who believed that the worst part of the epidemic in the country was behind them,” the article says.

According to Bloomberg, 34 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the province, and the new restrictions indicate the fear of the Chinese authorities of the possibility of a second wave of the epidemic.
