The Minister assured that the administration is doing everything possible for the companies to return to work.

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin admitted the possibility of opening the US economy in May.

When asked during an interview with CNBC if the Minister believes in such a possibility, Mnuchin said: “Yes.”

“I think this will happen as soon as the President is satisfied with the medical issues,” Mnuchin added.

He also said that the administration “is doing everything possible to ensure that American companies and American workers return to work and that they have the funds necessary to do business for now.”
The US economy is still effectively put on pause due to measures to contain the coronavirus.
