MIUI 12.5 firmware broke Redmi Note 8

Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the most popular smartphones in the history of the brand. It was announced about two years ago and came to market with MIUI 10 firmware based on Android 9.0 Pie OS. Recently the model started receiving a software update and it became quite problematic.

For Redmi Note 8 Pro, MIUI 12.5 firmware is available with Android 11 operating system at its core. The global version is v12.5.1.0 RGGMIXM. This is probably the last major update for the model, and it was marked by a large number of faults.

Users complain about a drop in performance and a decrease in the maximum volume level. In some cases, there is a slow recharge of the battery. Another common malfunction is the spontaneous disconnection of Wi-Fi. Some models do not allow you to connect to an access point at all.

The company has not yet responded to the situation. In such cases, when there are no critical problems, the manufacturer simply quietly releases new versions of the software, eliminating all faults.
