MIUI 12.5 brought battery problems to popular Redmi smartphones

MIUI 12.5 firmware broke the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone. But the installation of the update did not go unnoticed for other popular models.

The owners of Redmi K20 Pro report that after installing MIUI 12.5, the smartphone began to quickly lose battery power and charge slowly, despite supporting 27W wired charging.

The same problem was noticed by the owners of Redmi Note 10 Pro. It appeared after installing the MIUI 12.5 software under the number v12.5.4.0. According to users, the battery is discharged by 17-20% overnight. At the same time, the smartphone heats up. Sometimes the problem can be solved by resetting to factory settings and preventing applications from running in the background.

The third model, which began to drain quickly after switching from MIUI 12 to MIUI 12.5, is Redmi Note 10. The moderators of the official MIUI forum note that Xiaomi is already aware and is preparing a new build of software to solve the problems.
