Reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has made some predictions about the future of Huawei, which are disappointing.
Recall that Huawei is now far from the best time, and all because of the US sanctions. America first banned American companies from cooperating with Huawei, after which it extended the ban to foreign companies that use American technologies and components in their work. As a result, Huawei was left without Google services, and without proprietary Kirin chips, which were produced by TSMC.
Kuo said sales will fall and the Chinese manufacturer will lose market share if developments go well. The worst-case scenario implies Huawei’s withdrawal from the smartphone market. It will be a boon to Chinese competitors like OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi.
The latter scenario, of course, is hard to believe, since Huawei has huge support in China, thanks to which its sales are increasing. But the damage from the sanctions will definitely be serious.
