Min-Chi Kuo: Apple to add HDMI port and SD card slot to new MacBook Pro

Renowned Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo continues to share details about the new MacBook Pro.

This time, Kuo announced that Apple is going to add an HDMI port to the laptop. In addition, the novelty will receive a slot for memory cards. According to the analyst, the supplier of the card reader will be the Taiwanese company Genesys Logic. By the way, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has previously announced the presence of a memory card slot in the next MacBook Pro.

Recall, according to the latest information, the MacBook Pro 2021 will hit the market in two versions: with a screen of 14 and 16 inches. The laptop will receive a new proprietary ARM processor and an updated design with flat edges, like the iPhone 12 and iPad Pro. In addition, Apple is going to remove the Touch Bar from the device and replace it with physical buttons. The new MacBook Pro is also credited with MagSafe charging support and multiple USB-C ports.

It looks like it’s not worth waiting for the updated MacBook Pro at Apple’s spring presentation. The novelty, according to Min-Chi Kuo, should be released in the second half of this year.
