Netflix does not yet know how popular its new project, the film Enola Holmes, will be with viewers, and the leading actress Millie Bobby Brown is already insisting on the continuation. In an interview with Deadline, she stated:
Yes, there are still stories to be told. The story is not over. She has not grown up yet, no final conclusions have been drawn yet. I think she is one of those characters that is constantly evolving, so we have more to say. Plus, Harry (directed by Harry Bradbeer) and I enjoyed working together, so this should continue.
The film tells about a young detective, the 16-year-old sister of the famous Holmes brothers, Enola (Millie Bobby Brown). One day, she discovers that her mother, Eudoria Holmes (Helena Bonham Carter), has disappeared. Brothers Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin) do not take what happened seriously enough, so the girl herself goes in search of the missing. On the way, rescuing the viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) in trouble.
Enola Holmes premiered on Netflix on September 23rd.
