The fight between former world Boxing Champions Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in a draw.
The fight lasted all eight rounds of two minutes. According to the Athletic Commission of California, which regulated the confrontation, knockouts were prohibited in the battle. Also, officially, the results of the match were not taken into account in the statistics.
Jones and Tyson were initially scheduled to fight in September. However, the fight was postponed to ensure more revenue from pay-per-view sales.
In late April, Tyson announced his desire to return to the professional ring for charity tournaments. The American hasn’t fought since 2005.
Jones held the Middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight titles. The American finished his career in February 2018.
