Microsoft reports about Fancy Bear cyber attacks on anti-doping organizations

Microsoft has reported about cyber attacks by hackers from the Strontium group (Fancy Bear / APT28) against anti-doping and sports organizations in the world.

“At least 16 national and international sports and anti-doping organizations on three continents were targeted by these attacks, which began on September 16, just before the news about new possible actions taken by the World Anti-Doping Agency,” the company said in a statement.

Some of these attacks were successful, but most were not.
