Microsoft exposed a hacker attack from China on departments in the United States

Microsoft has faced some hacker attacks, a group of attackers conducts its activities from China.

The company called the hacker group Hafnium and described it as “highly skilled and sophisticated.” Its actions aim to obtain data from US agencies, universities, law firms, infectious disease researchers, think tanks, and NGOs.

“Recently, Hafnium was involved in some attacks using previously unknown vulnerabilities (zero-day), targeting local Exchange Server software,”

Microsoft said on its website.

Microsoft did not specify which institutions were hit by the hacker attack but noted that their management was notified of the incident. The company also released a corresponding update that should protect Exchange Server users.

The zero-day vulnerability is a previously unknown bug in the program that allows you to perform malicious actions secretly.
