The Mexican Foreign Ministry said that the ban on crossing the land border with the United States is being extended for 30 days amid the spread of a new type of coronavirus.
“At the suggestion of Mexico, restrictions on crossing the common land border with the United States have been extended for an additional 30 days after re-evaluating the spread of COVID-19,” the Agency said in a Twitter message.
The terms of the restrictions, which were introduced on March 21, remain unchanged. The ban does not apply to the supply of food, fuel, medicine, or other necessary goods. Medical, educational, government, and emergency visits are permitted.
