Messi is 90% likely to stay at Barcelona

Barcelona’s Argentine forward Lionel Messi is likely to remain at the Catalan club, Mundo Deportivo reports, citing journalist Martin Arevalo.

A Spanish correspondent with close knowledge of the situation is confident that Messi will be able to defend the colors of Barcelona until the end of the current contract, which expires in 2021.

“The probability that Messi will continue to play for Barcelona is 90%. This Thursday, the final decision will be made,” the newspaper quotes the journalist as saying.

For several weeks, football fans around the world have been following the events unfolding in Barcelona. Club icon Lionel Messi has said he is not going to continue his career at the Catalan club.
The leading contender for the Argentine star is Manchester city. The media also reported that the English grandee has already agreed on a contract with the striker.
