MediaTek is working on two flagship chips that will receive ARM Cortex-A78 cores

MediaTek has recently released many good processors, but in the top segment, the manufacturer is still lagging behind its competitors. However, this may change next year.

Information appeared on the network that MediaTek is working on two flagship processors at once. The first version of the SoC comes with model number MT6839 and the second one is MT6891. If you believe the rumors, the new items will be built on a 6 or even 5-nanometer process technology. In addition, the chips will boast high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores. Naturally, they will also receive 5G network support. Unfortunately, there are no other details about MediaTek’s new flagship SoCs yet.

Presumably, new items will be announced at the end of this year. Perhaps they will become the successors of the Dimensity 1000 and Dimensity 1000+ chips.
