McGregor knocked out Cerrone in 40 seconds

In US Las Vegas, the UFC 246 mixed martial arts tournament ended, in the main event of which met former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor and former title contender Donald Cerrone (aka Cowboy). This bout was welterweight.

From the first seconds, McGregor rushed at the opponent. Cerrone missed a few hard shots. Then Conor had a powerful hi-kick, Donald ended up on a canvas with a broken nose and there the Irishman finished him off with a series of punches. The referee intervened in a one-sided beating and stopped the meeting.

The whole battle took about 40 seconds. McGregor was awarded the victory by knockout. This is the second fastest knockout in UFC history.

The Irishman won his first victory since November 2016 (then he managed to defeat Eddie Alvarez and win the lightweight title). Cerrone suffered a third defeat in a row.
In total, Conor now has 22 wins and 4 losses. The Cowboy has 36 wins with 14 losses.
