Maduro urged the military to prepare for war with the United States

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro urged the military to be ready for defense in case of US invasion.

“We need to be ready to defend the Motherland with arms in hand if the North American Empire dare to encroach on this sacred ground ever,” said the President, speaking to the military in the state of Cojedes.

According to Maduro, the American side is waging a “non-traditional war” to weaken Venezuela. Us intelligence agencies bribe the military to divide and destroy the armed forces from within, the President says. He also stressed that the Bolivarian Republic has the “most powerful army” in the region.
