Maduro said he was ready to negotiate with the opposition in Oslo

Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro thanked the Norwegian government for its assistance in promoting dialogue on the situation in Venezuela and expressed readiness for negotiations with representatives of the opposition. He wrote about it in his Twitter account.

“Our delegation is going to Oslo ready to work on an agreed comprehensive agenda and move forward in building good agreements,” he said.
On May 25, the Foreign Ministry of Norway announced that next week in Oslo will take place negotiations of representatives of Nicolas Maduro and the Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido.

In this regard, the representative of the US state Department Morgan Ortagus said that the only topic of negotiations may be the resignation of the President of Venezuela. According to her, Washington supports the desire of Venezuelans to restore democracy and “put an end to the illegitimate Maduro regime.”
