Madonna to be fined $1 Million for supporting Gays in Russia

Madonna recently posted on her Twitter a fragment of a video from a concert in St. Petersburg in 2012. In the video, the singer makes a speech on stage in support of the LGBT community:

‘Do not be afraid! We will fight for the right to be free! For the right to be who we are. Now is a very scary time. I travel a lot around the world and I see it – people have become more intolerant. But we can change that! We shouldn’t do it with violence – we should do it with love, ‘ – Madonna told the audience, while the fans in the hall chanted and waved rainbow flags.

According to Madonna, she was fined a million dollars for this speech.

‘I made this speech at a concert in St. Petersburg 8 years ago. I was fined 1 million dollars by The government for supporting the Gay community. I never paid…’  – she comments the video.
