Luka Doncic set phenomenal record in NBA history

Dallas Mavericks defender Luca Doncic in the first NBA playoff game with the Los Angeles Clippers (110:118, 0-1 in the series) scored 42 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Doncic set a new record in NBA history for the most points scored in his debut playoff game. In addition, Doncic became the first basketball player to score at least 40 points in his career debut playoff game. Luke’s 42 points is the Mavericks’ best playoff scoring since Dirk Nowitzki in 2011.

Luka Doncic is the 4th youngest player to score 40+ playoff points in NBA history. Magic Johnson (20 years, 276 days), LeBron James (twice – 21 years, 119 days and 21 years, 124 days) did it before Luke (21 years, 171 days).
