Lucasfilm hired youtubers to create deepfakes for The Mandalorian and Star Wars

Shamook, a popular youtuber team that has created deepfakes (including the second season of The Mandalorian – looks impressive – Rogue One and Hanu Solo) will work with Lucasfilm.

Enthusiasts who use modern technology to recreate the iconic images of their favorite characters on screens got a job at Industrial Light and Magic. It is the visual effects division of Lucasfilm.

Enthusiast positions have not been named, but Industrial Light and Magic notes that the company is interested in machine learning and AI, as well as talented artists. At the same time, more videos will be released on YouTube Shamook.
