LG Wing with two screens will be the first Explorer Project device

Before launching the LG Velvet smartphone, the company said it would revolutionize the smartphone market and introduce new branding that reflects current trends in addressing a person’s unique personal tastes and emotions with a strong emphasis on design. It is difficult to call the LG Velvet a breakthrough, but the manufacturer, it seems, has not abandoned plans to release something original and unusual.

LG says the new LG Wing smartphone will be the first device from the Explorer Project. Recall that the gadget will have a dual display and a T-shaped design. The main screen is expected to be a 6.8-inch screen, with an additional 4-inch hinged out from the bottom of the device. Basically, this is the same LG Velvet (it has the same 6.8-inch screen), but with an additional display.

According to LG, the Explorer Project will be a new category of mobile devices. The main goal is “to find new ways to interact with mobile devices, focusing on the ever-changing needs of today’s consumers and challenging established user norms”. LG adds that “this is the most daring, newest smartphone with a different form factor and mobility not possible with conventional smartphones.”
