Lenovo may be the first to launch a smartphone with a new top-end Qualcomm processor

We have already said that Qualcomm has started testing the next top processor. Now there is information about who will receive it first.

Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile division, announced on Weibo that the company will launch its flagship smartphone by the end of this year. According to several sources at once, the novelty will work under the control of the next Qualcomm SoC.

Unfortunately, there are not many details about the chip yet. The SoC is known to be codenamed Waipio and numbered SM8450. It is credited with the Cortex-V9 cores, the built-in 5G modem, as well as the Adreno 730 video accelerator. Presumably, the new product will hit the market as Snapdragon 895 or Snapdragon 898.
