Lenovo Legion Phone 3 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 898 processor

Lenovo introduced the Legion 2 Pro gaming smartphone (aka Legion Phone Duel 2) in April, and is now working on its successor.

Chen Jin, CEO of Lenovo China Mobile, spoke about this on his Weibo page. He announced that the new product will enter the market under the name Legion Phone 3 Pro and will boast a new top-end Qualcomm SM8450 processor. That is, we are talking about the Snapdragon 898 chip.

Recall that the new SoC, according to rumors, will be 20% more powerful than the Snapdragon 888. The processor is credited with the Adreno 730 graphics accelerator, the Snapdragon X65 5G modem and the 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 core layout instead of 1 + 3 + 4. Presumably, speech there is one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710, two Cortex-A510, and two Cortex-A510 (with a reduced frequency).

Unfortunately, there are no other characteristics and dates of the announcement of the smartphone yet. Most likely, the novelty will be shown in the first half of 2022.
