Legendary British actor Sean Connery dies

The Scottish actor was the first to play 007 on the big screen; he starred in seven Bond films.

His acting career spanned several decades, during which he starred in over 70 films. Connery’s many awards include an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globes.

Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Role, he received, starring in the gangster drama The Untouchables.

He was knighted by the Queen in 2000. Connery turned 90 in August.
