The prosecution calls for the death penalty for Patrick Crusius.
The man who is accused of last year’s attack on Hispanics at a Walmart supermarket in Texas, when 23 people were killed, had mental disorders that should have alerted prosecutors demanding the death penalty for him, lawyers for the accused said.
Patrick Crusius, 21, was diagnosed with severe, lifelong neurological and mental disorders, and much of his school education was unique.
This is stated in documents submitted by court-appointed lawyers.
Crusius is accused of driving from Allen’s hometown (near Dallas) to El Paso on August 3, 2019, and opening fire with an AK-47 rifle on customers of Mexican origin at a Walmart store.
