The foreign Minister also noted that Moscow is ready for a dialogue with Washington, but not on the basis of ultimatums.
Western countries led by the United States consider Russia one of the main factors hindering their hegemony in the world. This was stated on Friday by Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a solemn meeting dedicated to the day of the diplomatic worker.
“Among the main obstacles to global hegemony, a narrow group of Western States led by the United States sees Russia,” Lavrov said.
The foreign Minister also said that Russia is open to dialogue with the United States, but it should be based on equality and mutual respect. “As for relations with the United States, the European Union, the West as a whole, we have no shortage of readiness to cooperate on any issues, but not on the basis of ultimatums, but on the basis of an equal, mutually respectful dialogue,” the Minister said.
“Our proposals in this regard are well known. As they say, you will not be forced to be nice, but we are always open to those who will be ready with us on the basis of equality and mutual respect, balance of interests to look for ways to solve any world problems,” Lavrov added.
