Los Angeles Lakers heavy forward Anthony Davis is close to returning to duty and has been cleared to resume full training, ESPN reported.
On Saturday and Monday, the Lakers will play paired NBA regular-season games against the Utah Jazz. According to the Californian club Frank Vogel’s head coach, Davis’s return these days is unlikely, but it is not completely ruled out. Davis plans to get in shape and increase training activity gradually. He is not expected to be on the floor for more than 30 minutes after returning.
Davis has not played since Feb.14 due to a calf injury and tendonitis in his right leg. In 27 games without Anthony, the Lakers were 13-14.
