The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on August 30, and the names of the nominees have recently been revealed. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande became the leaders in the number of nominations – both of them are represented in nine categories. The Rain On Me singers’ collaboration could win them seven statuettes, in addition, Gaga was awarded in the categories “Artist of the Year” and “Best Quarantine Performance”, and Grande received two more nominations for the video with Justin Bieber Stuck with U – “Best Collaboration” and Best Home Video.
Billie Eilish and The Weeknd also distinguished themselves in the number of nominations – they have six each, and Taylor Swift, who may receive five awards.
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande shared the good news on their social networks. Grande wrote:
