Kylie Minogue talks about how fighting cancer has changed her life

In a recent interview with People, 52-year-old Kylie Minogue recalled her emotions when she first found out about her diagnosis. The Australian pop icon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. The agonizing struggle with the disease completely changed the singer’s life.

“It’s like the earth has slipped off its axis. You see things differently. I remember that I was diagnosed, but the world did not know about it, ” admitted Kylie.

She said that at that moment she was next to her brother and boyfriend and they went to a cafe together. Due to the numbness that came over them, they didn’t even immediately understand what the waiter was asking. Then Minogue realized: no one understands what the other person is going through at the moment.

After being diagnosed, she underwent lumpectomy and chemotherapy, and in February 2006, doctors declared her to be cured of cancer. This experience forever changed the worldview of the Grammy winner. According to the artist, the process of adaptation and change is inevitable after cancer or any other serious test in life.

At this stage, I really feel like life just consists of moments and there are more moments that can be good. And I’m trying to admit that it was also a good moment, ” Kylie said optimistically.
