Kurt Cobain’s guitar from Unplugged in New York will go under the hammer in the US

Guitar Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain from one of the most famous concert auctioned in the United States, the starting price of the lot is $ 1 million, according to the website of the auction house Julien’s Auctions.

“Julien’s Auctions…has announced that the guitar that Kurt Cobain played during the famous Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York performance will be sold at his MUSIC ICONS event,” the auction house’s website says.

The auction release notes that Cobain played this Martin d-18E electric and acoustic guitar on November 18, 1993, about five months before his death. Its original case accompanies the guitar, the report says.

It is reported that the auction will be held on June 19 and 20, 2020, in Beverly Hills, as well as online on the auction house’s website.

Earlier at the same auction, a cardigan was sold in which Cobain performed at that concert, it went under the hammer for a record 334 thousand dollars. At the same time, his Fender Mustang guitar, which he played during the In Utero tour, was sold for $ 340,000.
