Konami will release a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation 5

Since the beginning of 2020, rumors have been circulating on the network about Sony’s desire to revive the Silent Hill series. If you believe the blogger RedGamingTech (via PushSquare), Konami is also working on an updated version of the first Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation 5.

RedGamingTech has already earned its trust with reliable leaks, albeit most of them relate to hardware, not video games. Yet the blogger notes that the source is reliable and has already proven this in the past.

According to informants, Konami plans to release a full-fledged remake of the first Metal Gear Solid. The developers will not only improve the texture resolution but will improve the picture and gaming experience, as Capcom did with Resident Evil 2. The updated MGS will be released on the PlayStation 5 and PC, but the source cannot yet say for sure whether this will be a simultaneous release or a temporary exclusive for Sony.

In addition, the developer will release improved versions of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and 4. These will probably be more remakes than full-fledged remasters. It is also not clear whether the re-releases will be released on PS5, or will be a kind of gift for PC users.
