Kim Jong-un’s sister believes there will be no new summit with the US this year

At the same time, Kim Yo Jong stressed that Pyongyang does not intend to “threaten the US.”

The sister of North Korean leader Kim Yo Jong said that a new summit with the US would only be useful for Washington at this stage, but added that her country does not intend to “threaten the US,” state media reported.

Kim Yo Jong said that, in her personal opinion, the next meeting between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump is unlikely to take place this year, but noted that “you can never know in advance,” the KCNA news agency reported on Friday.

The day before, the chief American negotiator for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, ended a three-day visit to Seoul, where he denied rumors that he tried to meet with North Korean officials during the trip, but noted that the US is open to negotiations.

“We are not saying that we will never go for denuclearization, but we are making it clear that we cannot do it now,” Kim Yo Jong said.

“We do not intend to threaten the US,” she added. – As long as they don’t touch us or harm us, everything will go as it should.”
