Leader of North Korea says crop failure and coronavirus cause “hard times”.

The leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, warned the country’s residents about the coming “difficult period” due to crop failure and coronavirus. According to the New York Times, the politician said there would be little food. the head of the DPRK himself looked noticeably thinner.

Jong-un made his statement at a meeting of the Central Committee of his ruling Labor Party. According to him. tackling food shortages is a “high priority”.

The food situation in humans is currently becoming tense as the agricultural sector has been unable to sustain grain production following the flood damage. It is important that the entire party and the state concentrate on agriculture, – stressed Jong-un.

Back in April of this year, Jong-un urged to be ready for a “difficult march” to improve the lives of the population. At the same time, the media call the events of the mid-90s a “difficult march”, when the country faced massive famine, which claimed the lives of, according to some sources, several hundred thousand people.

Kim Jong-un himself appeared in public in early June at a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the DPRK Labor Party. Before that, he was not visible for about a month.
