Kim Jong-Un: nuclear weapons will forever ensure North Korea’s life without war

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un said that the forces of military and strategic deterrence of the DPRK as a nuclear-weapon country would forever ensure its peaceful existence and national security, the North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reports.

Kim Jong-Un made this statement in his congratulatory speech at the 6th National gathering of veterans, held on Monday in honor of the 67th anniversary of the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.

“To prevent us from experiencing the agony and pain of the war of the 1950s once again, we had to get an absolute force capable of containing and preventing the war as such. Therefore, where others would have fallen 100 times and given up, we, overcoming difficulties, enduring all kinds of threats and provocations, went the way of self-development as a nuclear power. Now we have become a country that can reliably and steadily protect itself from ongoing provocations by hostile forces of imperialist opponents in any form and from intimidation by military threat. War is an armed conflict with someone who is looked down on. Now no one can underestimate us. And if he does, he will have to pay the appropriate price,” KCNA quoted Kim Jong-un as saying.
