North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appeared in public for the first time in 20 days, South Korean news agency Yonhap reports.

According to North Korean media, Kim Jong-UN took part in the launch of a fertilizer plant in Suncheon, Pyongan-Namdo province, on April 30.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has not appeared in public since April 12. After the South Korean daily NK reported that Kim Jong-UN is undergoing treatment after surgery, rumors began to spread in several media outlets and on social networks about the threat to the health of the North Korean leader. Daily NK, as well as some other media outlets, such as the American TV channel CNN and the Japanese weekly Shukan Gendai, refer to anonymous sources in their reports. Also, in the media, regarding publications in social networks, rumors began to spread about the alleged death of the leader of the DPRK.

At the same time, the South Korean authorities noted that, according to Seoul, Kim Jong-UN is alive and well.
