Khabib Nurmagomedov named the craziest day in the history of football

Former UFC lightweight champion Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke about what, in his opinion, was the craziest day in the history of football. Nurmagomedov recalled how on July 9, 2006, the Italian national team beat France in the World Cup final.

A scandal marked the match. The main time ended with a score of 1: 1. In extra time, the French national team leader, Zinedine Zidane, could not restrain himself and hit the Italian defender Marco Materazzi’s head in response to his provocations. Zidane was sent off, and in his absence, France lost to Italy in a penalty shootout with a score of 3: 5.

“The craziest day in the history of football,” Khabib Nurmagomedov signed a picture from the 2006 World Cup final with the participation of the national teams of Italy and France.
