Singer Kelly Clarkson had a hard time breaking up with her lover Brandon Blackstock in June last year. After 7 years of marriage, the couple announced their separation. After the divorce, Clarkson plunged into creativity and wrote about 60 songs.
“These are difficult decisions that are hard to move away from because they are so personal,” the singer says. She adds that many of her compositions were written in difficult moments of life.
Now the star is working on a new album. “I have an album that we are working on. He’s really great and sincere, ” Clarkson says. She adds that there are many questions to be answered before it is released. Songwriting helps Kelly share her emotions and relive personal moments.
Songs by other artists also help Clarkson cope with life’s difficulties. The singer noted John Legend, whose music helped her recover a little after the divorce. His latest album, Bigger Love, was therapeutic for Kelly as it came out when she was feeling hopeless. “I literally went through the worst moments of my emotional life … And it was so beneficial for me,” the performer shared.
