Renowned insider Jon Prosser has published high-quality renders of the unannounced iPad mini 6 tablet, which are based on schematics, blueprints, leaks, and real-life images of the device’s prototypes.
The tablet is facing a major redesign, Prosser said. Although it retained the dimensions of its predecessors (206.3 × 137.8 × 6.1 mm), the screen is enlarged by reducing the bezels. In addition, iPad mini 6 has lost the Home button, and the Touch ID sensor has moved to the side of the power button.
Also, the insider promises a USB-C connector instead of the usual Lightning, improved speakers, an A14, 5G processor and support for the Apple Pencil stylus, which will be more compact and simplified.
It is reported that the new product will be available in three colors: gray, black and gold.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the official announcement of the iPad mini 6 will take place in the second half of the year.
