Johnson thanked the medics for saving his life

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has been in the hospital for a week with a coronavirus after his condition worsened, thanked the clinic’s medical staff.

Speaking to friends, Johnson said he “owed his life” to doctors and nurses. The head of the British government added that he “does not know how to thank” the clinic’s medical staff.

Johnson reported his coronavirus infection on March 27. He had a high temperature and a constant cough. The Prime Minister isolated himself at home and continued to work. Later, Johnson’s pregnant fiancée Kerry Simonds also reported symptoms of COVID-19.

After the 55-year-old politician had symptoms for ten days, he was hospitalized. On April 6, the Prime Minister’s condition deteriorated and he was transferred to the intensive care unit. Foreign Minister Dominic Raab has become the interim head of government.
