Israel strikes Hamas targets in Gaza Strip

The military said the strikes were a response to the launch of balls with incendiary devices.

The Israeli military said on Wednesday that they had launched night attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip after incendiary balloons were launched from the Palestinian enclave across the border.

The army reported that the strikes were “retaliation” for launching numerous balls from a Hamas-controlled enclave in recent days.

Aircraft, attack helicopters, and tanks attacked several Hamas targets, including “underground infrastructure and observation posts,” the statement said.

Fire services in southern Israel said that only on Tuesday, the balls caused 60 fires, but did not report any casualties.
