Israel announced the launch of a rocket from the Gaza Strip

Israel announced an unsuccessful attempt to launch a rocket from the Gaza Strip, according to the country’s army, the shell exploded in the launch area.

In this regard, it was decided to strengthen the Israeli division of “Gaza” with combat units.

“Recently, a failed attempt to launch a rocket from the Gaza Strip was recorded. The rocket exploded inside the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.

Before this, the media reported that an air alarm siren was triggered in Israel.

“On January 28, last year, former US President Donald Trump presented a peace settlement plan known as the “deal of the century.” According to the plan, Jerusalem is recognized as the one and indivisible capital of Israel, and it also proposes the creation of a demilitarized Palestinian state, deprived of control over its borders and airspace, with its capital in the eastern suburbs of Jerusalem.

The Palestinians and the Arab governments did not accept this plan, in their opinion; it deprives the Palestinians of the right to those territories that are provided for by UN resolutions. The head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, said that the Palestinians insist on recognizing their state within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
