According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne Johnson will not be able to start filming in Black Adam until after Netflix’s Red Notice, starring Ryan Reynolds, ends. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shooting of “Red Notice” is being delayed, which may lead to the fact that “Black Adam” will begin filming only in 2021. That will postpone the premiere of the picture to a later date. Johnson himself is still optimistic:
‘We plan to start filming in late August or early September. This project is dear and close to me, and I can’t wait to start it. I have dreamed of this role for over ten years. This gives you an idea of how passionate I am about this project. Warner Bros. has been supporting me for all these years. After all, we first spoke about this film in 2008.’
Currently, the premiere of “Black Adam” is scheduled for December 22, 2021. But if the information of The Hollywood Reporter is confirmed and filming begins only next summer, then we can say for sure that the premiere of the film will be postponed to a later date. While from Warner Bros. neither confirmation nor denial of this information has been received.
