Recently, the paparazzi captured Irina Shayk during a photoshoot for the German edition of Vogue. The shooting took place at the Grand Hotel Villa D’Este on Lake Como. The behind-the-scenes footage allowed users to see some of the less beautiful moments of the glamorous photoshoot, during which Irina changed many outfits.
In particular, the paparazzi showed Shayk in a tight skirt that did not fit on the model’s body and had to be left unbuttoned. In addition to the skirt, Irina tried on other things that look like they are too small in backstage photos.
This topic has already been raised by stylist Fran Burns: he posted a photo in which a petite model cannot button up Celine pants, provided to her for shooting. Fran urged to reconsider the dimensional grid of things offered to models.
This is totally unacceptable. It is fundamentally wrong to assume that this is the norm. We are responsible for those in our care on set and we must make sure that beauty standards are not limited to size, which is completely unrealistic for most.
– commented Burns.
