Iraq: the airbase where American contractors are stationed is again fired at by missiles

There were no reports of casualties.

At least five rockets landed on the territory of the Iraqi Balad air base north of Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi security officials said.

According to them, the Katyusha-type missiles fell on the base’s territory, where American contractors are stationed, but there were no reports of casualties.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Still, armed groups that some Iraqi officials say are backed by Iran have claimed responsibility for similar incidents in the past.
