The US will not be able to extend the arms embargo against Iran, which will end in October, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.
According to him, the Iranian side hopes that this issue will not be put to the UN Security Council for consideration; otherwise, Tehran is ready to answer.
“Washington, after its exit, wants to destroy all the achievements of the Joint comprehensive plan of action (JCPOA),” he said.
Mousavi added that Iran is in close contact with other parties to the nuclear deal, according to the Young Journalists Club.
Earlier, the official representative of the Iranian government, Ali Rabih, said that countries working on the development of the JCPOA on Iran’s nuclear program would oppose the extension of the arms embargo.
