Iran says the “black box” of the downed Ukrainian plane is badly damaged

The Iranian authorities intend to restore it first and only then deal with decrypting the data.

The “black box” of a Ukrainian passenger plane that was accidentally shot down in Iran in January suffered significant damage.

The Iranian Defense Minister, according to state media, announced this on Wednesday.

“The flight recorder was visibly damaged, and it took the help of the defense industry to restore it,” said Minister Amir Khatami. – First, it will be restored, and then the data will be decrypted.”
