Iran has refused any talks with the US

The Iranian side refuses to negotiate with the United States. The Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei made the statement.

“The policy of maximum pressure on the Iranian nation is not worth a penny, and officials of the Islamic Republic are United in the belief that there will be no negotiations with the United States at any level, ” Khamenei said.

He noted that if Tehran agrees to negotiations with the American side, such a step will show that Washington can impose its demands on the country.
“That is why, officials from the President and Foreign Minister and others unanimously announced that we will not negotiate with the United States — neither bilateral nor multilateral,” — said the Supreme Leader of Iran.

Relations between the US and Iran have recently strained. The reason for the new conflict was the attack of two oil refineries in Saudi Arabia. Businesses were attacked by drones on September 14.

Yemeni Houthi rebels, with whom Saudi Arabia is fighting, claimed responsibility for the incident. Despite this, US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo blamed the attack on Iran. Trump agreed with him, but the Iranian authorities denied the charges.
